Albino Okeetee Corn Snake (Pantherophis guttatus) — CBB

Captive bred and born. Okeetee is a locality line out of Jasper County, South Carolina, selected for unusually bold saddle markings with thick borders. Drop albinism onto that line and the black borders drop out entirely, leaving saturated orange and red blotches ringed in white. It's one of the cleanest-looking corn morphs going.

Why a corn snake

Pantherophis guttatus is the snake most keepers recommend to start with, and for good reason. Docile, forgiving of beginner mistakes, reliable feeders on frozen-thawed mice, and content in a 20–40 gallon enclosure. They reach 3–5 feet and live 15–20 years.

Worth knowing: corns are accomplished escape artists. A secure, clip-locked lid isn't optional.
