Pink Belly Sideneck Turtle (Emydura subglobosa) — 4" Juvenile

The Pink Belly Sideneck Turtle is a striking aquatic species native to the rivers and lagoons of New Guinea and northern Australia, named for the rosy blush on the underside of its shell. They're active, personable turtles that tuck their heads sideways into their shells rather than pulling straight back — a hallmark of the sideneck family.

These are grown-on juveniles at 4 inches carapace length — well past the fragile hatchling stage, feeding confidently and considerably hardier than a fresh hatchling. We have two available. Adults reach 8"–10".

They're strong swimmers and do best in a spacious aquatic setup with a dry basking area, UVB lighting, and a water heater. Omnivorous and easy to feed, they'll take turtle pellets, feeder fish, and leafy greens.

With proper care, Pink Belly Sidenecks can live 20+ years, making them a long-term commitment and a rewarding centerpiece for an aquatic setup.

Federal law prohibits the sale of turtles with a carapace under 4 inches. We do not sell hatchling turtles.
